Dr. Thomas Ellis

In addition to private practice, I am the embedded psychologist for Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. I provide direct clinical services, lectures, and consultation on a variety of issues including interpersonal relationship dynamics, sexual health and functioning, mood disorders, and professional development. I hold a special interest in the effects of technology and social media on sex, dating and relationships, and have given talks both locally and internationally.

Prior to Stanford, I completed my predoctoral training at the University of San Francisco's Counseling and Psychological Services, UCSF AIDS Health Project, and The Pride Institute, the nation's first inpatient facility devoted exclusively to members of the LGBT community. Before becoming a psychologist, I worked in the world of performing arts, marketing and special events. I believe my diverse background has provided me with invaluable experiences that deepen my insight and broaden my perspectives.
